On behalf of Samsung, it is my honor to announce the winners of our 2009 Scholarship Essay competition. The quality of the thinking and writing was tremendous. With over 3,000 submissions there were many, many excellent essays. Those selected for a scholarship are presented below.

2009 Scholarship Program - Deadline: May 1, 2009

Awards:
Seven $1000 Student Scholarships will be announced May 15, 2009

Submission:
An essay up to 500 words on what you think about technology advancements and how they will change the way we learn in the future. Is it for the better?

Judging:
Papers will be selected by an independent judging panel. Criteria for selection will be:
  • Original thinking - 30 points
  • Relevance to a real world - 40 points
  • Writing quality - 30 points
Requirements:
  • High School Student in the United States
  • Teacher to Sponsor Student
  • Permission to use photo and essay in publicity
  • Up to 500 word essay
